Weather for Wasco from weather.gov. I've found weather.gov to be the closest. Figure about 3-5 degrees warmer than this down in the canyon. Watch the overnight temperature, if it gets below 55 then need extra sleeping clothes.

Overview of the Float

The stretch of river we float is from Thirtymile to Cottonwood bridge (red box). It starts at river mile 84 and ends at RM 39.8 (44.2 river miles). 

  • It takes 3 days to float it. Due to where the camp sites are located, below is our typical schedule each day
    • Day 1 - Launch 10:15 - Camp 4:15 - 13.7 mi   (RM 84.0 - RM 71.8 -12.2), Based on 2.8 mvg avg, Flow 1980-1930
    • Day 2 - Launch  8:45 - Camp 5:20 - 32.0 mi (RM 71.8 - RM 55.4 -16.4),  Based on 2.6 mvg avg,  Flow 1730-1660
    • Day 3 - Launch  8:30 - Ramp 3:00 - 48.3 mi (RM 55.4 - RM 39.8 -15.6), Based on 2.7 mvg avg,  Flow 1550-1520
